Unhappy mechanics or shops around west central florida

Im looking for a shop or dealer around sarasota fl. Area, to install screamin eagle 255 cams on my '07 electraglide,or similiar set-up.... My local h-d stealer wants 1400.00 for the parts and labor ,also that is inc. 5 hrs. On the dyno for a retune of my pc3.... 5 hours????? My local independent guy wants 2000.00 for s&s 510 gear drives installed, but he has no dyno, ouch any way,,he wants 1600.oo for chain drive 510 cams,, ouch. .. Me thinks im getting raped??? The h-d dealer is rossiters in sarasota, at least they are cheaper... But from all the searches ive done it still seems awful high... No, i wont do it myself, my wrenching stops at oil changes and such.. Any help would be much appreciated,,, thanks

If you have confidence in the indy doing your work I'd go for it. Most of the maps are pretty much set up for multipal combinations. So between road testing and a few plug reads after the bike has been driven, he can get you in the ball park. Me personally, I would use an adaptive fuel management system like Zippers that will, do the balance of the tune. Plus I'm sure they will have a map that would suit your build. Having the hightest HP doesn't mean you have the most dependable tune. In most cases that motor would be slightly lean. I perfer an engine a little more on the rich side, for less heat and engine wear.

The indy i use is a really good wrench, he does all my work, but the price seems a little much, he told me they can get a base map to be in the ballpark, and the closest dyno is about 30 miles north, where the pc 3 was put on. I dont know if i trust their wrenching to put cams in.. They have been there a while maybe i should give 'em a call and see what they have to say..

Try Precision cycle on North Washington Blvd. just south of 12th street or S&S customs in palmetto
