My new King is scheduled to be ready for pick-up sometime in late Feb. I have ordered the parts to build 103" with a Stage II big bore street legal kit and a .255 cam. I have added the Harley Davidson Super Tuner, Vance and Hines Monster Ovals, Vance and Hines Power Duals header and the Screamin Eagle Heavy Breather... aside from the HP and Torque increase which from reading on the forums here I have a general idea what I will be looking at, how will this bike sound do ya think? Throaty rumble or a sharp bark?? I am looking for the deep throaty rumble and my mechanic says that it is exactly what he thinks this set-up should give me.

Thoughts/opinions??

 

After 5500 miles on my V&H monster ovals, the sound has progressively gotten better. The packing has started to wear out and I'm loving the sound now more than when I had them put on. That deep throtty sound is finally perfect.

 

IMO you are going to get exactly what you are after. I only have cams in mine with the MO's and it is a very deep thundering sound. Deeper than almost any other mufflers that I have run across. The thing with the MO's is that they sound different from the seat than they do to bystanders and other riders. I have 9k on mine and they seemed to have gotten a bit louder than when they were new.

 

That build/cam will make those MO sound SWEEEEET!!! You're gonna love it.
