Road King Rattlecan Project

Hope it works out for you better than it ever has for me. None of my rattlecan projects would stand a close inspection, although I finally did get the rear fender of our car back to passable with Bondo and several cans of Duplicolor and clear coat after my wife backed into something. That spattering as the can gets low is a pain.

I thought the whole idea for a rattlecan black paint job was , quick , cheap and who cares what it looks like. I wouldn't have removed nothin just masked the whole bike, 1 coat grey primer then as many coats of flat black that my liquor supply will let me do, 1 night max. Heck any more than that might as well get a second set of tins and do it right. Yes I have a problem!

Ok.. not sure if i'm doing the pics right... but here goes.
I would have just rattle canned over the whole kit and caboodle, but that would have defeated two of my main goals.
1.) I wanted to get to know the bike and see what was possible with my current knowledge. I also wanted to see what I had to deal with (rust spots, bent frame, etc.)
2.) I was actually looking at the flat black to see if it was worth getting professionally done in black denim. However, if the maintenance is low, why not keep the spray paint look... its easy to fix!
Anyway, still working on putting the bags back on - probably tomorrow. Also, I need to get better pictures out of the garage - with the bike dusted off and cleaned up.
I'll keep it going
