I have had a new Harley Ultra every year since 1989 ,,, and my current 2010 Ultra LTD is the best of the bunch ,,,,

my wife and I use matching pearl black Arai Classic/c's with the J&M, integrated elite series headset with the -HO mikes, and the medium sized windsock ,,,,,, ((see the Arai page at www.jmcorp.com ))

audio performance is outstanding ,,, and with the intercom vox set at the middle position ,,, we use the medium sized J&M windsocks, the medium height Harley windshield ,,, and intercom-music-wind transition while we are talking is perfect ,,,,,

I can only recommend what I use ,,,, but that is what I use and enjoy it very much ,,,,,

 

I have an HJC 3/4 helmet with a drop down visor.It's about 4 yrs. old.It's always fit well and almost don't realize I am wearing it alot of the time.It's dot as well as snell approved.Probably getting close to needing a new one and will look at the HJC line first.Hope this helps.

 

Another vote for HJC IS33.

I'm thinking of trying a Simpson "Cruiser" model helmet. Anyone currently using?

Aria sz/c works well with headsets, light, cool, great vents, confortable and has removable cheek pieces.

 

arai classic from j&m with their headset isan excellent choice. I had an hjc and a shoei and tried the arai and will stick with them. The venting on hot days is much better then anything else ive tried. If it fits your head it is a good way to go. Good luck

 

+2 on the Jet II. We both got them this past spring. Mine has been very comfortable even on a 1k ride up from Florida in July. I usually ride with the face shield up and I like the convenience of having it when it starts raining rather than having to stop an put a shield on.

+1 also on wearing the helmet in the store as long as possible to get a true feel for it.

 

Seer makes a very comfortable half helmet and the hd headset can fit on it.
They also make some 3/4's. Arais and also well made and comfortable.
