Love my widder electric gloves. Too bad they went out of business 2 years back. My widder vest is great and the gloves plug into the vest, meaning only 1 plug to power. I got a problem though - I'm now too fat for the vest!!!
I have had both. The grips are convienent, and worked well, but were sold with the bike. I had my HD gloves for 5yrs with no problems. The biggest complaint I have with them is running the harness down your sleeves. It just takes a few more minutes to get geared up. If you dont want to spend the money right off, I recommend using welding gloves over a light weight glove. Welding gloves are heavily insulated, and can be bought cheap. Heated gear will spoil you quick.
Well said. Short trips=grips, long trips=heated gloves
MrC try plugging your gloves in without the controler I know you said you turned it up all the way. but I have gloves and a controler and they would not get warm enough. I
elimenited the controler and bingo thy got hot you will need a on and off switch if they
get to hat
I use snowmobile gloves and my heated grips and have no problems in cold weather. I also use the heated grips if my hands ache from work or if the arthritis is acting up.Use em more than I thought I would.
