I've also have all of these. Grips are always there when you need them. Gloves are warmer and take less to install. The choice is yours.

I also like the heated seat, but find it (a Corbin) to be harder than non-heated (yes, I mean harder than a normal Corbin).

Question Heated Gloves don't get Hot Enough

I use the H-D Heated gloves with the dual variable heat control and do like them. However during extreme conditions (below freezing) they just don't get hot enough, my finger tips still get very cold. Everyone I speak to says the same thing. I realize you don't want your hands to sweat, but it just seems they should get hotter especially with the heat control set to the highest position. Similar to how the Jacket Liner operates.

Question is: does anyone know of some type improvement and/or modification to make these gloves hotter?

BTW, I do have heated grips also, however they are only efficient in the cool Spring / Fall time frame to "just take the chill out". I live in Southern New England.

Thanks

Has any one installed the heat Demons on a 08 or new bike? The web site says you have to machine out the bar at the grips to fit the unit. Just wondering how that works with the TBW.

Go with the heated gloves and a jacket liner. Gerbings are the best. If you're serious about chilly weather riding, go for the pants too. You'll be toasty, and the ride will be much more enjoyable.

I don't think heated glove/heated grips are interchangealbe. I have both. I have heated grips on both my RK's and my Wife has them on her RK.
The heated grips are most valuable to me when it is slightly cold. Not cold enough to make me stop and change my gloves but cold enough to be uncomfortable. Being able to get some heat then with just the flick of a switch is very helpful. If it is really cold, the heated grips will help only a little. Then you will want the heated gloves.

You will probably have left your heated gloves at home most of the times you need them. The heated grips are with you always.

I have had both. The grips are convienent, and worked well, but were sold with the bike. I had my HD gloves for 5yrs with no problems. The biggest complaint I have with them is running the harness down your sleeves. It just takes a few more minutes to get geared up. If you dont want to spend the money right off, I recommend using welding gloves over a light weight glove. Welding gloves are heavily insulated, and can be bought cheap. Heated gear will spoil you quick.

Heated gloves for me...my reasoning is if its that cold outside that I need thick gloves on I doubt I could feel the heat from the grips so I went with the heated gloves, they work very well too.

Which one works better?

Personally speaking, I would get heated gloves. True, the heated grips are convenient, but have heard/read/and seen, that most will go out eventually. I'd go with the gloves, especially in your location.

I opted for the heated (battery operated) gloves.

a buddy of mine had heated grips in his 03 Ultra and they melted. All the rubber melted onto his gloves. He wasn't happy about that at all.....
