Like a DREAM and much better with the new frame and bigger tires than my 2008 RKC.

+1 I agree with Big Pig. I do notice the rear shock changes the ride a bit overe my road king. But, I love the big tire and plan to add true duals.

Coming from a 2002 RK my 2010 SG is awesome. Hard to explain but the ride feels so different to me, more stable smoother ride. 100% satisfied customer.

Make sure the shocks have enough air. The '09s & '10s need around 30 pounds solo and 45 two up.

You will hate the seat. That's a simple fix though.

My buddies' CVO 2010 has hydraulic shocks, so you just turn them for different settings. Are the hydraulics only for the CVO's ?

I agree. I started with 15 to 20 psi thinking less was better and it was beating me up. Then I read here to use at least 30 psi and now the ride is much much better. I might even try 35psi to see what that does.

As for the seat: after 6000 miles, I found that I really like the stock SG seat and will keep it. I know its a subjective thing, but I was actually shopping for a new seat because of all the negative comments I read here. My 02 RKC seat is much softer and I couldn't sit on it more than 45 minutes without a lot of pain. But the SG seat is firm and that works very well for me. I might get a backrest for the 400 miles days. However, I do ride mostly solo and that makes a big difference.

2010 SG here. First HD I've owned so I can't compare. Very happy with the ride...haven't noticed anything I would consider harsh. Running around 40 psi in the shocks.

On the seat - I thought I'd need to replace the stock seat as well. Bought a Sundowner more for the wife's pleasure than anything else. I've left it on for the past few months and liked it. Just for kicks I switched the stock seat back on this past weekend. Still like the stock seat a lot. The stock seat gives you about 2.5" of back support while the Sundowner is closer to 6" - like a lazy boy. Really depends on what you're looking for. Wanna cruise in minivan comfort or ride a little sportier? Both are fine....just different.

I didn't know that about the CVOs. But yes the normal HDs have "Air Shocks" that the dealer prep boys and techs never check apparently.

Funny story (to me anyway) I was asking the service manager about my shocks leaking down and he took me over to new Street Glide sitting on the floor, to show me how to unhook the hoses from the shocks. He told me to take them off and reconnect them. Maybe that would help seat them.

Well when he took the hoses off, of course all the air went out of the shocks, then we just walked away. He never went back and put any air back in them. I thought, man the guy who test drives that Street Glide is gonna hate the ride. hahahah

It was funny to me how one deprtment (service) didn't give a crap about the other department (sales).........and this guy use to be in sales.

I have put 1200 miles on my 2010 and love it! I have a short inseam so I went with the HD Reach Seat and it's great. Got some wind buffetting above 50mph from the short windshield, went with a 8" Clearview and solved that. The bike it perfect now, getting on to backrests and such next.
