Pics wanted of Zumo 660 + Fairing Mount
I'm trying to find out if a Zumo 660 on the fairing Mount will fit properly with the klockWerks wind screen.
If you have any experience in this exact setup, please respond.
If you have pics of the fairing mount with the 660 attached and taken off the bike, please respond.
Ultimately I want a real clean fairing mount with minimal foot print left behind when the GPS is off the bike. So I'm thinking that the fairing mount might not be what i want either.
Another idea that I am tossing around is to use a RAM mount with a 1.75" arm connected to a ball placed ontop of the fairing between the speedo and tach. With the GPS off the bike, only the ball would be left behind on the bike.

Fairing mounted Zumo 660
Ok, I just finished installing zumo 660 with harley fairing mount kit. The installation time was about 1 hour and half. I also installed rear AUX port and boom cellphone connector.
First impression on Zumo 660.
Nice unit, starts fast, good MP3 player. Easy usage.
Fairing mount, clean installation, but GPS pointed some what outward than I wanted.
Rear AUX port works better than I expected (took me another 1 hour and half).
Boom cellphone connector, It works, but cellphone volume is somewhat low.
So far so good.

131tman; I also have the instrument visor were you mounted the gps. My dealer said that the visor needed to be removed to install the fairing mount but I see you never did. Can you let me know how you did it and were you got the mount so I can send them in the right direction. Would like to have this done on my 2010 CVO Ultra before I pick it up in the spring.
Thanks

I can't put it on the sides of the Batwing fairing, as that's where my two tweeters will go.
I like the idea of using the Zumo mounting cradle (that has the clip-on cover when the actual 660 unit is not being used).
Can the Zumo cradle be mounted in the center of the Batwing, in between the speedo & tach?
Thanks

Just in case you never got your answer...
You'd need to fabricate some kind of mount - the one supplied in the kit is specifically molded for the left edge of the fairing.
You can use the handlebar mounting kit - although it kind of covers up the fuel gauge. Another alternative is http://www.ram-mount.com/
