I recently bought a pair of Rumble Road amplified speakers and installed them on my '99 RoadKing Classic. I mounted them on my crash bar, installation was very simple. I bought the new IPOD pouch from H.D. it has magnets in the bottom, and sticks to the gas tank. I just slip the MP3 player into the pouch, connect the wires from the speakers, and it sits on the tank, very secure. I have to tell ya, with my windshield off, and running at highway speeds, I can hear the music very well!. You don't have to worry about installing an external Amp. cause it's inside each speaker, and I'm here to say, they're LOUD!.

I also have a set, mine are mounted to the handlebars on each side of the handlebar risors.I have the Memphis shades batwing on mine which blocks alot more air noise. At 70 and up the volume is only about halfway. These things sound great at any speed. One of the best mods done yet.
I have a pair (Ultra model) I had on my RK. They were great. I just bought a '10 Ultra Limited and am very disappointed with the sound. The Rumble Road were far better in sound and volume than the stock Harman Kardon.
BTW, I have the Rumble Road speakers for sale. (shameless plug)
