Thanks for the ideas guys. I just got the bike back together last night and snapped a quick photo with my cell.
When I tore the bike down, I thought the pulley would look good color matched. When it was painted it looked good, but after its all back together, its just to much. I am liking the idea of the tank bottom 1/3 being painted black. I will try to get some better pics and over to the photoshop forum.
A friend of mine had an older Heritage painted similar in color to yours.
He added some "battleship grey" colored flames done with pin stripping and it looked awesome. If I can find a picture I will send it to you. It was a VERY nice combination!

Please don't paint the bottom half of the tank, just my thought but doesn't outline the tank features vs. doing the oval to follow the shape. Maybe just pinstriping to bring out the lines.
How about installing the chrome saddlebag lid spears. Part # 53878-03 .Might look good by giving the bike a streamlined look.Just an idea.Nice bike that will look great on the road.
