Street Glide buyer questions

Street Glide buyer questions
Have a few quick questions, which I couldn't find an answer to via search.
1. Is there a way to add auxiliary headlamps to the Street Glide?
2. Is satellite radio available for this puppy. I saw in my wishbook that there is a radio unit for touring models, but not sure if it fits this rig. The HD wishbook says I need an Advanced Audio headunit, and the XM radio tuner kit.
3. Are communications available? I'd like an intercom kit if I could get one. Just makes things easier.

YES, order them when you get the bike from Harley

I dunno about the sat radio but I am sure it can be added, people here have it.

There are multiple options for communication, the best being J and M from what I have read.

You can go to any Harley dealer and get them to do some homework for you.
The stock radio in my 09 Street Glide has all the buttons for Nav, CB radio, and Comm. None of the buttons do anything except display "see your Harley Dealer". This tells me that there is a firmware download that will "enable" these features as soon as you pay for them. LOL. There are plenty of after-market devices that will give you options for all of these missing features. Lots of folks are using BlueTooth mics and earpieces instead of hard lines into mic and headset jacks.
I do not know what wiring harnesses you will need to add, but I'll bet that all the plugs are sitting under there somewhere already waiting for the "optional" connections.
To be honest, if I wanted all that stuff, I'd buy an Ultra. I love my SG, my iTunes plugs in on the front, or I listen to my pipes out the back.
Best of luck.

If you keep looking in the HD accesories catalog all your questions are answered. You can by direct from HD spot lamps with the brackets and all or you can also get the entire set up from Kuryaken I think a little cheaper. HD also offers Sat radio and all the touring bikes have the advanced HK radio system but it may not only require a hardware change but also a radio software download from the dealer as well. Same for the intercom setup on the streetglide it requires hardware change and a download. There was just a thread about installing the HD the intercom setup on hear recently so do a seach
Check out this post about the intercom set up.

Radio - Yes, the unit that comes with the bike is an Advanced Audio headunit. The XM module fits inside the faring on top of the radio. You will also need a wire harness which, by the way, includes the wiring for CB and intercom which the Motor Company also sells as pulg and play units.
The HD XM module is well worth the money, it keeps everything on the radio and off the handle bars.
I haven't wanted a CB for years and one of the joys of riding a bike is I don't have to listen to my passenger. Why would you want an intercom?
