Wire Extension kits for Wild 1 518's or others
#11
Wiring bars is not that difficult, just take your time. I have done 6 different bikes in the past few years. To measure length, I have pushed string trimmer line through the new bars and held them in place to check the needed length and then add a little bit as you will loose some when you mae the connections. I cut the existing wires so that I keep the stock ends as it makes it easier to know the color when you get to the end. Don't cut all of the wires in the same place as it makes a big lump that is hard to pull through the bars. I jsut take the old wire to an auto parts house and buy the same guage, don't worroy about color. Make good solder connections and shrink wrap. When I am doing it, I split the plastic case that wraps the wire and push it out of the way. Then when the wires are all spliced, you pull the plastic case around the wires and secure with some electrical tape. Then lube the plastic case and pull them through.
Just do one wire at a time and take your time.

That's a great price, and I'd jump on that deal, but I've already ordered my bars. Thanks tho...

I put wild one 575's on my ultra and needed no additional wires or splices. Harley uses a plug that allows you to remove the pins from the connecter (very easy) so you do not have to cut and splice. in my case, I did this, ran my wire throught the bars, and put the pins back in the connector.

Here's some good info for ya, it sure helped me out. www.harleyhog.co.uk then scroll down to Road King handlebar swap, it's right across from cable oil tips....it's worth a look, hope this helps.
