Default Amsoil price increase??

Went to the dealership yesterday to get oil and filter and the price for Amsoil 20w50 was 12.95qt. and the Amsoil filter was 14.95 The last oil change I did was in July and I thought I paid 9.95qt. and 12.95 for the filter. Any dealers in NE Ohio with better prices or is that the going price for it now?

$22 bucks for a 5qt. jug of topshelf full synthetic CF rated M1 15W-50 at Walmarts is MORE than sufficient for our Harley's. But you didn't ask this, did ya?

Dealership has raised the price not Amsoil. It is still $8.25 a qt. online with PC.

We have to pay $9.49 but do not have to order it.
A Suzuki shop had Amsoil 20-50 for $9 per quart. I bought all they had, 24 quarts.
I am good for a year now.
HD shops are high on Amsoil

The Moco dealerships know its good oil and they take advantage of that fact. Even here in Phoenix, we have a bike oil quick change place, Bike*rs Bay, they charge top dollar for the Amsoil too.

If people are willing to pay it, more power to them because there are other very viable, less expensive alternatives.

I don't know if MSRP on Amsoil products increased or if the dealer is just taking liberties with their profit margin. For example, I was using Royal Purple 85w140 gear oil in the tranny and it escalated to $18.75/qt. at the retailer I bought it from before, but down the road another seller had it on the shelf for $14. They also had Redline Shockproof Heavy for $10 so I tried it. No change, which is good, as both perform very well.

The recommendation for M1 15w50 is a good one, as it is an excellent oil at a very low price. It's definitely the best bargain on the market, IMO, and has fared well in three oil tests I've seen in MC mags. Don't buy into the myth that only a MC-specific product is good for your HD. I personally think spending more than about $7/qt. for synthetic engine oil is wasting money, as there are several good options out there in that price range.
