Default Stage 1 & Stage 2 - What are they?

What exactly is the definition of what makes up a Stage 1 and a Stage 2?

I think the difference between a stage 1 and stage 2 upgrade....regardless whether it is a 1450 or 1550 big bore... is that stage one uses stock cams and stage 2 uses an upgraded cam in the "hop up". We'll see what others say...but that is what I see as the main diff.

Stage 1 refers to a basic upgrade of your bikes engine without changing any internal parts. Upgrades include air cleaner, exhaust, carbs or EFI and maybe ignition. Stage two is the same as stage 1 plus replacement of cam (s) and camshaft bearings. Stage three gets into better flowing heads and higher compression pistons.

Stage I is the basic engine breathing via the breather, exhaust via the mufflers and remapping the ignition on the Fuel Injected Bikes or rejetting the carb. The stage II kit is an upgrade to the engine size along with the cams. The other elements of the stage I are also included. You will get a lot of different types of answers, but that is it in a nutshell.

What everyone else said! Think of Stage I as cheap, (relatively speaking) easy to do stuff that make it breath more better!

When you upgrade to a 1550 kit does that include the stage 1 package?

STAGE 1 you can use cash from your wallet

STAGE 2 you need plastic, its dangerous to carry that much cash

STAGE 3 pay down on your bike, then refinance to afford this!!
