I had a set of max 2's on my RK and really liked the low rumble they gave me on the highway. Wife liked them as well. I then ordered and installed the true dual conversion kit that bobvic sells and installed it along with a stage one breather. The tone of the max 2's changed dramatically! Wife didn't like them and wondered why I had to mess with something that worked so well. Heat reduction and looks, that's why! I later found out that the max 2's were not intended for the true dual set up, so I replaced the max 2's with the 2" superflows from bobvic, and now we're back on track with good volume and performance. For the money I have invested compared to high end performance mufflers, I'm quite happy!

 

Had the 2" superflows along with the true dual conversion on my bike for a few years. I installed lollipop baffles shortly after installing them, initially too loud for me I guess. Overall the setup performed great, no real complaints for the few years they were on there. At speeds above 70, they got a bit too loud for me and the radio, Monster Ovals took care of that problem.

 

Max2's arrived last week, installed them on my 08 ultra but found them too loud for my taste.
Out of all the pipes I've heard here in my local area V&H, Reinheart & sampson. These Max2 were the sweetest best Harley sound I've heard.
But too loud for me.
I was quite happy with stock but wanted something a small bit louder.
Stock is about 80db, Max1 is 89db the Max2 is 95db. according to seller.

Also I found the bike to be running more leaner with the Max2 installed.
Seemed to be hotter and engine a bit louder. I did have 89 octane gas not 91. Don't know if that made a difference.
