Shifting into 6th Gear

Shifting into 6th Gear
At what speed should I expect to shift into 6th gear?
I just had a new SE 6-speed transmission (33102-03A) retro-fitted on my 03 Road King (stock 88 cubic inch engine, no tachometer) at 60K miles. I now get less vibration and noise compared to the original 5-speed stock transmission. Shifting before 60 mph on level ground seems to be too early by feel and sound. Shifting between 65 to 70 mph seems about right.

I sometimes go as low as 55mph but no less, only when dropping in speed. I don't kick up into 6th until over 60-65. Watch your tach, and listen to your engine. You don't want to drop so low that you lug the engine.
My 6 speed setup is a Baker DD6 gear set with a 28 tooth compensator sprocket, so not sure if the gearing is different than yours and stating my rpm might be useless to you.
With all that said, I often find myself over 70-75 before I even think about going up into 6th gear. The difference from the 5 speed which was in there origianally is that much better!
