Default Windshield Replacement Suggestions

My 2006 RK Classic is at 50,000 miles and the windshield has done it's job. Wind, rain, bugs, one bird, rocks and pebbles. Now it is sporting a lot of pits and dings and as we enter the winter riding season where it will be on the bike until spring. I'm in the market to replace it with something a little less dinged and a little more clear.

Any suggestions on aftermarket plastic sized to fit in my stock windshield bracket? I thought of going with a HD replacement, but HD's stock plastic seems to be softer than some. I own a Suzuki Boulevard which has a much harder finish to it's windscreen than my Harley. It seems to be more resistant to the dings and it's slicker, harder surface tends to clean up easier.

I'm going for stock size and clear... No tints, just new.

Good and bad experiences? Brand suggestions??

Thanks.

If it has done it's job @ 50,000 mi. I would just buy another one. J&P is a good after market supplier.

I bought a new one this spring. Went with a memphis shades direct replacement. Clear, no tint. I like it a ton better than the HD one and it is about half the price. The plastic is significantly more thick than the stock HD version. Cleans easily, no vibration at idle like the HD. An easy install to my detachable bracket.

Agree with Memphis Shades. I replaced my Dyna shield with 15 inch Memphis and is much better than HD OEM. Will do the same on my 2003 RK.

Try Rifle Fairings. I've used their windshields on my old Heritage and my wife's Deluxe. Great product. Here is the link for your bike.

I have a Clearview with recurve on my stock windshield brackets, I don't think much of the stock windshields but the Clearview did make it better, stopped all the vibration and I can look over it now instead of through it.

Clearview. Especially if you want to look over the windshield and not through. They cost more, but good quality and the recurve will provide a couple extra inches.
