2007 Roadglide Heavy Duty Ignition Switch
Does anyone know if HD makes a heavy duty ignition switch for an 07 Roadglide? I just installed the new Hawg Tunes amp and speakers and I'm guessing the amp draw from the 150 watt amp pushed my switch over the hedge.... so to speak. After powering up and cruising a few minutes the switch has to be played with to reconnect and make the engine and batt. light go out. (And next, if they do, how do you get the switch out?)

When I had the problem with having to fiddle with the switch to get it to start, it was the switch that needed changing. Getting the switch **** off is pretty easy, then you would need either the tool or a long flatblade thin screwdriver to release the pin that holds the wiring into the switch itself.

Today, before we rode I took the switch and ran it back
and forth about 10 times real fast, through the detent locations
between lock, on and acc., then we rode all after noon to various locations
and I did not have another problem. I'm thinking there could be some
corrosion inside that's the problem, and it just happened to be the week after installing the power amp. (the dirty contacts did ok with little draw, but when the amp came into play, more draw caused the connection to fail)
Thanks for all your reply's.
New switch going in this week, or teardown and cleaning and using some dielectric grease on contacts. Wish me luck.let ya know when problem solved.
