Spacers for shifter pegs and brake pedal
#22
I never did find a chrome bolt that was long enough. As I recall I needed 3 3/4" and they just don't come in that length. I ended up purchasing a 1 foot 5/16-24 threaded rod and cutting it to the length I needed and putting a chrome acorn nut on the outside. I'm still not thrilled with it because I didn't want anything sticking out of the end of the peg but it was the best I could do and still keep the matching pegs. I'm attaching a picture so you can see what it looks like.

I've got 1" floorboard spacers on my bike. I wanted to remove the heel shifter so I installed a spacer on the shift shaft. That moved the toe shifter out. I also wanted a longer and more comfortable shifter peg so I got an Avon shift shaft that matches my grips. It's the longest shifter peg I've seen.

Both LA Chopper and Kuryakyn make extended shifter pegs.
