Looks like a nice unit, I like the receiver not needing to be plugged in to 120v like the HD model.

I must be missing something here. They show a receiver and a transmitter. Every automatic garage door or gate I've ever seen already has a receiver. And all I need to do to open mine from my bike is spend $15 or so and carry one of these

What have I missed that makes this such a super deal?

What you get is not having to move a hand from the bars just flash the brights (or whatever other circuit you hooked to).
As for the receiver it just makes it simpler, no need to make a learning remote compatible with every receiver made.

Didn't recall saying it was a super deal. It is an option over some of the other hardwired garage door openers out there. I currently use a key fob transmitter but have thought about using something that hooks to the high beam switch.

The reason I would personally go with this one over others is because I use Biketronics lighting modules and know the quality of their products is top notch. Their customer service is exceptional and they have a no hassle lifetime warranty to boot.

I will call our rep at Biketronics on Monday and see what our price is on this kit. Maybe we can offer a group purchase discount to you guys that are interested and to potentially save you some dough.

I'm interested.

I get tired of chasing my key fob around

I have a small electronics module that sits behind the dashboard in my crate. When I lock (or unlock) the doors this module operates the switch of a Genie remote. The instructions for this unit were simple enough and required rudimentary soldering skills (2 wires to the remote). This is an after market gadget. I'm surprised nobody's come up with something similar for H-Ds - like say operating the hazard lights (both turn signals simultaneously).

Anyone intersted in this approach - this is where it came from: http://www.gbmini.net/wp/auto-up_windows/

A couple things.
First. Your button will only work with YOUR brand GDO. Theirs will work with all of them. That is the big reason for the receiver.
Second, being hooked to the lighting wiring on the bike you can leave your bike outside without worrying about someone opening your garage. It won't work unless the key is on.
With yours you either have to carry that thing everywhere you go or leave it on the bike and risk someone stealing it and having access to your garage.

Once these units (or the HD unit) is on it is completely transparent and works like a charm. It is one of the best upgrades you can buy for your bike IMO.
