2nd Mike, I'm interested in that product also. And thanks for checking into whether there would be a way to get it for less money. I too use Biketronics elsewhere on the bike and have not had any problems at all with their products.

What have I missed that makes this such a super deal?
If this works as well as the HD version the big deal is the transmitter puts out a much stronger signal than your little hand held, got to find a pocket to put it in, hope the battery doesn't go dead remote. I can flash the high beams while still a 100 yds or so from the house and the door is open when I start up the driveway. No stopping in the street or on the driveway incline waiting for the door. Also since it's not handheld I have the door closing as soon as my bike clears it when backing out. By the time I hit the street the door is shut and I don't have to fumble around putting away the remote before I put on gloves and ride off. So considering how much money we put into these bikes might as well spend another $50 or so for something that actually is useful.

On these things, how does the receiver connect into the garage door receiver? I happen to have a very old garage door opener that's incompatible with a lot of newer things out these days.

I believe it connects to the same contacts as your push button control switch.

This one is 20 bucks cheaper and works great. Easy install too.

I much prefer the one that is triggered by the bike's horn...

I haven't a clue what that means. I buy a gate opener transmitter, I set the DIP switches to match what my opener is set to, and I'm good to go. The "learning remote compatible" business isn't something I've ever had to deal with, and I've been doing this stuff for a lot of years.

I'm interested as well, but need to see what price you can get us.
