This is dead wrong my dealer charged me for 3.5 hours/$269 to do this job last winter on my 07.
6-8 hrs is for the old bikes that had to have the cams pressed.

Save your money on pushrods if your not going big on the cam. Use the stock ones, there just fine.

SE255 No other mods at this time. After doing the research they will give me exactly what I want, a LITTLE more bottom end grunt. I was goint to change the pushrods and tubes to save labor and not have to take the top end apart, just cut the old rods out. I have so many different estimates, It's hard to tell who is quoting accurately or not. Harley Dealer that I don;t usually deal with for service work quoted $500 but won't say how long..I think he is off the list. Former HD wrench who did my 95 build said 4 hours, sounds in line...another dealer whom I trust but is a long drive quoted $350.00 labor only. Like DAWG's answer, wish I was closer, I'd buy you a CASE of Chiante! GOOD Chiante!

I just asked two dealers here. One said 10 hours if I keep factory pushrods. They both said 4 hours if they cut them out and use adjustable. Whoever said save your money and reuse the stock ones isn't thinking it through. Based on the quotes I got keeping factory rods would add 6 hours of labor at $65 per hour, that is $390 in labor. The adjustable push rods are like $130 through Chicago HD I believe, that's a savings of $260.....

I'm in New England! I'd be willing to supply a couple bottles for swapping out a cam, bearing and adjustable rods in my EVO. I'll kick in another if you let me help! Whats your favorite brand?

Thinking about going the same route with the 255. The sm at my local dealer wants me to wait until the winter when he has alot more flexibility to cut some good deals on labor. He also said that doing the pushrods was not necessary. Gonna look at that from both angles. He already knows that I am gonna buy the cam somewhere else so that is not a big deal. LMK what you find out.

Hey Garemlin

Make us a deal on both our bikes getting done. I dont know those guys as well as you do. I stopped by the dealer to talk to Mac and he was in AC for his birthday. Im kicking around either just the cams or doing the 103 with the cams
