Default Docking Hardware for Tour Pak Question

Just picked up Tour Pak from a 99 RG that I need to install on my 07 RK-the docking hardware doesn't match up with mine-is this what I need?
Here's what's on the tour pak now

Is this the hardware I need?

The rack on the tour pak will work fine with HD's detachable mouting hardware. The correct hardware, however, is different from the hardware used for the detachable backrest shown in the photo you posted.

You can buy the mounting hardware, part no. 53804-06, and just use the chrome hoops portion of the kit and you'll be fine. Your tour pak rack is an obsolete version and it uses parts from both the HD mounting hardware kits (one for backrest and solo rack; and, one for two-up detach tour pak and detachable luggage rack) currently offered. If you have the hardware mounted for the detachable passenger backrest, then you have the hardware on the bike for the forward mounting points of the rack on the tour pak. The kit with the part no. provided will proved what you need for the rear attachment points.

Thanks for the help-looks like a simple solution-
I do have the detachable backrest hardware already.

There is a difference between the older and newer tourpaks. The one you have uses flat plates to mount the tour pack while the newer ones have a molded in round piece that a round bar mounts to. see photo

I bought the Kuryakyn relocator kit http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go...ID/30/IMID/845
to move the tour pak back 2 inches. Works great. The picture shows the stock piece.

Yes it is what you need. I have the same set up on my 07. The tour pak and mounting parts on mine were from an 02. They do not rattle as much as some of the newer mounts can. You should be happy with this set up.

It would be safer to remove them before installing the hoop. Gives you a lot more room.

Good find.
