Avon or Metzler???

Avon or Metzler???
Ordering my new wheels tomorrow for my 07 Street Glide, 21/18 setup and have the option to go with the Avons or Metzlers...any opinions?

Bolth good tires but I would go with Metzler. I am going to a Indy next week for ME880's

Wasn't Metzler having a quality control problem recently? Aside from that, I like the Venoms better that the ME880's

another avon guy here, i got a 150/80 b16 v77, great tire! second one i have owned, got over 10k outta it, sticky as hell in the twistys and rain and looks good.
all though i have never road a metz i have heard nothin but good things about them as well, avons are just what i have experience with

I have had both on my FXDWG. I prefer the Metz for the handling.

I have had both... honestly couldnt tell the difference! They are both so much better then the Dunlops you will be happy either way. I do like the way the Avons look a little more though!

Have run both. I would have to give the nod to the Avon. Just my personal preference. Am trying a Dunlop E3 on the rear now. Good luck.

I must add that I do have a buddy with a touring bike that has run both and he prefers the Avon.
I think it is like the "Ford - Chevy" argument.

I was goin with th Metz, but have changed and ordered the Elite 3's.
