Thumbs up The Ride Home

I picked up my 2010 Road Glide Custom yesterday in Tennessee from a forum member. Thanks Steve....

Road it back home to Kentucky, 298 miles...38 to 42 degrees , man that was a cold ride, but most of the way it was dry, take what I can get.

First observations from a bat wing rider and first time RG owner;

1. Need a backrest
2. Need a windshield, the stock one may look cool, but it's not a windshield.....
3. Need new bars, read the write ups on the Khrome Werks Sweepers, looks promising.
4. Road like a CHAMP! Think I'm gonna like it with some minor adjustments ( as with any bike)
5. The two into one exhaust will have to grown on me, use to two pipes out the rear end....but it's working on me.
6. WOW, it is red, that's for sure.....
7. Gonna have to change my screen name, Casper will not work for this Red Hot Chile Pepper, Tabasco motorcycle !!!

Overall I think it's a sweet ride, needs a few adjustments to make it mine, but that's with any new bike...plus we all like to change things.....

Also need a trailer hitch. Have a email sent to Khrome Werks for fitment...

Now, gotta go out there and clean that puppy....she's nasty.

Congrats on the new Road Glide! I was looking at one yesterday, and I really like the Street Glide treatment.

congrats on coming over to "the DARK side"....There's just no way, that stock windshield is going to stay on many RGs... I suppose THAT was "the plan"

Casper I agree on every point. The bike handles awsome but mine is a little stiff. Going to check the air but if I take some out I might loose a little handling. On 08 SG the handling pre bagger brace was a 4. After I added it to the SG jumped up to a 6. The new RG is a 10 in handling. You can push it though long sweeper and it just keep asking for more.

Also trying to decide on the hoggchopps or the oem lowers and what windshield to get.

Okay I'll start calling you "Tabasco". But just how did "Casper" fit with the two black bikes you already have?

Welcome to the dark side. I changed my bars at 185 miles. The other changes you mentioned will also make it a ride to enjoy for many miles. Like groupw said lowers will help also.

I think we're all waiting to hear why, he's been asked several times. Must be something so obvious we just can't see Or, maybe it's like calling a 6'5" 300# guy Tiny Two black bikes; Casper?

OK, Casper....when I joined the forum I owned a 2006 Pearl White Ultra Classic, hence the name Casper, sold it and bought the 07 Dark Blue GW and triked for the "US" bike..wife loves it and well, make Momma happy and you know the rest.
I then bought a 07 Classic, great bike but when I saw the Roady posted for sale, I had to do it...and I'm not a red person, but she sure will call your name....wife calls it "my hottie"...and no, can;t have my wife either....she's been great to me over the years ( 39 this year) on my 22nd Harley....and she's fine with them all...of course she loves to beat me up over them, ask Steve and his bride...they met her Saturday when we picked up the bike, she's doesn't hold back...but she a sweetie, all talk

Got her cleaned ( the bike-stop it) and she's looking good, warmed up a little today, what the heck am I doing on this PC, I'm going for a ride...
See ya guys tonight.
