I've been doing some research on replacements when I have to get new tires. I've heard some good stuff on Metzler 880's. A buddy of mine just put a Avon Venum on his bike and loves it. good looking tire too! I don't ride hard, just cruise around the mountains here in Tn. mostly ride two up.
I like good handling plus mileage. That's one of the reason's I bought the 09 EGC. Everything I heard about it is true.

I'm a newbie here, how do you get your bike pic so people can see it?

Thanks for any help!!!

Ron

I'm going to stay with the 407 back and 408 front. The 407 front cupped bad but the 408 looks good so far. If you can get over 15,000 on a rear and I have then there is no reason to change.

Load it into www.photobucket.com or your favorite image hosting site. Copy the image code from it and past it here.

Doing some off roading on the Glide.

You are absolutely right about the tires. I'll more than likely stay with the Dunlops. I like what I have so far. Thanks for the help with the photo's

Nice looking bike, even when it's dirty! I hate to get mine dirty riding in the rain or a dirt road. I have a hard time getting the rear clean. I don't have a jack yet. I pull mine up on my utility trailer and tie it down, remove the bags and use my hyd. floor jack to get the back tire up so I can turn it. I plan to buy a service jack, But the nice ones are expensive. I don't want to take a chance on dropping it.

Looking at the Dunlop site, I don't see a bias ply tire that will be close enough to fit the 09 rear. I didn't think we were supposed to use radial tires. What's the scoop on using radials?

Thanks, Ron

I have just clicked over 10000 miles and my front 407 has about 2000 left in it. The rear is in better shape, probably 4000 to go there i would say.

BTW this is the second set of tyres on the bike. First pair lasted 6500.

+1 on this idea. My 407 on the rear is at 13.5k and still looks good. The 408 on the front is new at about 11.5k (free from the MOCO) and I think i will stay with this combination.

Throttle and brake like you're riding on ice. I ride mine like I paid a lot of money for it.
