Default New Road King Classic

Here is the replacement for the Heritage I bent on Memorial day...

The RKC ride is slightly different than the Heritage, but I'm starting to like it. One nice thing is there is no hot oil tank right below my seat!

Hey, congrats on the replacement.

Also, looks like one of the mesh jackets you got on there? Mind telling me which one?

Thanks for the comments... It is good to get back on 2 wheels after a month of knitting bones & skin and what better way than on a RKC.

The jacket is a First Gear Mesh-Tex jacket. It has foam padding at strategic spots, a thin zip out wind blocking liner, and best of all it allows pretty good air flow with the liner out. The silver color helps to keep it from absorbing too much heat from the sun, but it needs airflow to keep you cool. Stop-&-go traffic still gets really hot.

This is the jacket I wish I was wearing when I dumped my Heritage. Unfortunately, I was only wearing a T-Shirt and got a few "scuffies" as I decelerated from 45-50 mph across the pavement and gravel.
