Default looking for advice on 13" ape install...

I would like to install some 13" apes on my 09 FLHR. The Cyclesmith person said I need +4 on all cables and wires for the 13" ape hangers. Searches for wiring reveals that alot of folks just splice in +4, solder and heat wrap the wires. However, through other searches on here it sounds like most were able to use the stock TBW. Can anyone confirm this? Would anyone like to elaborate on this type of install. Like most people I am trying to get all the parts together first. Thanks in advance!

That dude went through Johnny Vaughn. That site does the pre-wiring for you and doesn't tell what extensions you need. I am looking to save a few bucks and do it all myself.

I did the work myself and you dont need wires. Just relo the 2 plugs inside the dash. You can use the stock 2 piece tbw but I went with the single one from HD. Ask away if you have any more questions. Actual I have a set of wires that I never used.

Plus 1 for masshd, you should have enough wire, theres plenty of slack. And for brake line go to your local indy shop, brake lines come in DIY kits, they are A-N fittings now, so you mix and match whatever you need.
