I went with the basic Stage II big bore upgrade; no heads. Dont want to be leader of the pack; just enough juice to help with passing, etc cause I usually ride 2up.

Mike
Thx Mike...I agree...I decided on the SE203 BB kit...cant wait.

If you are going to do that ,Go with Wood Brothers cams ,Spend the 4500.00 to get the 95+ HP out of you motor.Otherwise you will
spend 2500.00 to get 10 hp out of the dyno.

I did the Stage II kit wit the 203 cams and enjoy the midrange power band. I have yet to decide on a set of exhaust, looking at true duals possible the vance & hines that will allow me to use the hd touring mufflers. I like to change the exhaust tips to give it a different look every now and then. Of course my wife's vrod had a lot to do with getting the bore kit.....

Thx Phantomryder...

I think I'll like the 1550 with 203's as well. My other bike is a Kawi ZX-12R with 170 RWHP...so if I need more power I'll ride my red rocket. [sm=drooldude.gif]

Hey if you want to make it a bit more special check out the diamond cut cylinders on my road king. Since I got new cylinders I sent them out to a place in Las Vegas and had them diamond cut the fins. Man does it sparkle. It sure gives it a nice custom look.

I have a Black Cherry 05 Road King. Have done the Stage 1 95 inch upgrade with the Screamin' Eagle intake. At the same time added HDFR heads (machined) and quick install push rods. Have Vance & Hines Oval slip on mufflers with stock header (suggested by dealer over true duals....saved me $300). Also have installed Power Commander and had the bike on dyno. The end result is 88 hp and 94 fp torque. They tell me if I decide to add the cams I can expect about 105 hp.
