Default Do you use a lift/jack while working on your bike?

If so... what do you use and what do you recommend?

Yep... I'm shopping for a lift to help out with basic maintenance work.

Sears yellow jack is a good compromise between cost and trick. ($120-ish)

Sears red jack works well, but is kinda bulky and cheap. ($89-ish on sale)

Then there are the sweet jacks that cost $400 and up. I'm too cheap at the moment to get one. Rather save for the motor build....

I use the Craftsman motorcycle jack but I am not really all that happy with it. I am considering the Harbor Freight lift...

My local dealer is selling these for $149. Seems like a good lift for the money, but I don't know squat about lifts... your thoughts?

For less money get the Craftsman yellow. It's aluminum, lighter and more compact.

My bike lives on a J&S jack. I started out with a lesser expensive jack that couldn't hold a candle to the one I have now. I've had to replace a few bottles on this jack but J&S was super fast in taking care of things. I couldn't imagine having a bike without a good jack.

I have a lift like the "Pro-Lift" in DHarts post. Very sturdy, easy to use.

Probably put the bike up for maintenance/repairs about half of the time. Put the bike on it for winter storage.

Use the Craftsman Yellow jack. Never had a problem with it and for the price, you can't beat it.
