RG Owners w/ hard lowers & glove boxes...READ...Please!
Listed below are what I believe are the part #'s (I think) needed for the installation of the detachable hard lowers for the '09 RG. I've priced them at 2 differant internet sites to compare my dealer pricing.
Does the pricing look reasonable? Is installation of the lowers difficult? Are there other sites besides Surdyke & Zanotti's I should check?
58861-09CYS Non Vented Fairings$ 511.14
58687-89 Left Glove Box$ 125.33
58688-89A Right Glove Box$ 125.33
38674-01 Braided Cable Service Kit$ 30.36
58146-07 Detachable Hardware Kit $78.00
Shipping: $ 32.37
Total$ 902.53
58688-89A$128.00
58687-89$128.00
38674-01$36.80
58146-07$82.23
58861-09CYS$538.83
Sub-Total: $913.85
Shipping: $63.97
Total: $977.82

A better alternative may be to buy the brackets used on the 2010 RG fairing which would then allow you to use the vented lowers that include glove boxes. The non-vented lowers are only $25 less than the vented, but the glove boxes add $200+ to the cost of what you're buying.
Dawg posted the part nos. for the 2010 brackets a few weeks ago or so and IIRC the cost was under $100.
So, with vented lowers and the 2010 brackets, your cost will be less than what you currently plan to spend.
