This whole website is designed around "anecdotal reports" and perception about motorcycles and riding. If everything on this site has to be " CONCLUSIVE EVIDENCE" there would be nothing written on here. You are entitled to your opinion let other have theirs. I would really like to know if any one who has a deer whistle has ever hit a deer. Please write in and let us know.

I have electronic deer whistles on my 06 Ultra and my 98 Subaru. I have not had a deer run out in front of me since I had them installed. They have run along side of me, they have stopped in their tracks. but they have not run out in front of me. Couple of weeks ago I disconnected the one on the Subaru. Bammm hit one Thursday night coming home from work. Almost hit a group of 3 Friday Night. I'll hook it back up.

Never heard of Electronic Deer whistle. Do you have a website on them? I have seen the same effect with the ones I referenced earlier. Thanks for chiming in.

Aren't they suppose to cross the road only at the deer crossing signs???

Instead of a deer whistle all you need is a device that broadcasts the clicking of a Winchester Model 70 safety catch and you'll never have a problem...

Yeah, deer are stupid. My son had a pair of those deer whistles on his car when he hit a doe and damn near put her in the front seat! Plus, I've shot and killed deer, and the one stadning next to it turns and runs right at me. I had to get out of it's way. Ran in the direction from where the shot came from! You can't fix stupid and deer are as about as stupid as it gets. I ama firm believer in the STFD and it has allowed me to avoid numerous bad situations with deer and other animals where we live.

Agree with stfd!!! If you do any research on these devices... there is NO scientific proof they work. Law enforcement in high encounter areas have NOT seen a decline in Deer related accidents between years (same period of the year) between before and after placing such devices. You might approach it with the "what harm can it do" attitude and spend up to $100+ for the electronic version... probably right, no harm done.. unless you get false sense of security and "stfu" speed the "f" up! That'd be bad and could cost your life!

Ride Safe!!

I use the deer whistles as well. Who knows if they work? Who knows that they don't work? I've hit at least 6 with a car so when I bought the bike I went to Wally World paid my $6 and put them on my bike. 57k miles later no hits with the bike. Do they work? I don't know but I feel a damn sight better with them on.
