Default Reverends new Ultra

Hi All!

First, Mac is the winner of the "Well honey" contest!

We picked up our new Ultra yesterday and rode it home from Scottsdale via a 200 mile side route up through Payson, Strawberry, Pine and the Verde Valley back home to "Preskitt". So very different than the Heritage! My guess is the stock seat will not have a very long future on the new Ultra, but Nancy has not complained about it so far. She has a whole new perspective from the better position the new Ultra gives her. She feels like she has much more room and her face is no longer jammed against the back of my helmet as it was on the Heritage. As for me, the ride is much smoother, and the bike handles very well. Much better, IMHO, than the Heritage. It does feel a tiny bit top heavy while stopped, but that may just take getting used to the difference in the way the bikes balance. I sat a little lower on the Heritage. All in all, I am delighted with the new scoot.

Thanks again for all the help!

Congratulations on the new ride. How did you bring up the topic of a new bike with her? Last posts I saw you were debating on how to break it to her.

Good Luck and happy riding.

CONGRAT'S ON YOUR NEW RIDE.
Nothing beats the ride and comfort of the Ultra. I upgraded from a Softail Custom and after about 2 weeks of good riding, I did not like the softail any longer. Much different ride and it was a real vibrator. The Ultra is smooth and has much more room. I am agreeing with you, the stock seat is not long for this world. Enjoy your new ride. Remember, once you try black, you never go back.

Ride On!

Dick,

Glad you got the new bike. I think you are going to really be happy. I know I really like mine, and it gets better time I go out.

Regards,

Bill
