Default Too many Rinehart noises and rattles. What to adjust?

Guys,

I have an 08 ultra. I had the Rineheart pipe installed one year ago by the dealer.
But I often get rattling noises specially when the bike is cold. I have replaced the rubber mount a couple of times but now I have other noises that when I am stting on the bike when cold come from the pipes.

What are some potential contact points that I need to check to eliminate these
noises?

Spend a little time and look your bike over - you'll find any contact points all by yourself. With the motor shut off wiggle the exhaust system and listen closely for noise. With the engine running you can dampen the noise by grabbing the pipe with your hand (when it's still cold). After that you'll need a tool or at least a good glove. The pipe gets hot right away the closer you get to the motor. It may be a loose baffle inside the muffler(s).

Have someone else rev your bike while you watch listen and grab various parts of the bike to figure out what is rattling. This is the easiest way.

Other items to check:
Clamps.
Heat shields.
Header flanges.
Pipe clearance.
I had a hose clamp on a heat shield once that broke and made some noise.

I also had a clamp on a heat shield that made some noise... and also a baffle that was making contact inside. Both were an easy fix.

Jerry, what did you do to fix your baffle? I have the same issue and have been thinking of a way to fix it, but have not come up with anything yet?
Thanks.

Check for a loose clamp. If suspect, loosen first then tighten. They tend to lock in place because of the hot/cold cycles.
Also the cross-over bracket (at the starter) could be loose or broken.

I had the same thing happen to me. Double check all of the clamps. The dealer had mine off for some warranty work and at first glance the heat shield clamps were all tight, however the one close to the read cylinder was actually not in the little metal tabs that hold the clamp to the shield from the inside. Basically the heat shield was just sitting there and the clamp was tightened but it wasn't holding anything.
