has anyone heard if the new 2010 RG lights are any better? I am also wondering if this will be an easy swap, as I really like the idea of scrapping the plastic bubble. I am guessing they may have put different bulbs in. I think someone said the ones in the 08's were not meant to be exposed to the airstream (impacts).

This doesn't help the OP or any other RG owner, but FWIW E-code headlights are available for batwing models here. Coupled with 80/100w bulbs they make a major difference in visibility at night and likely your visibility to cagers as well. These fluted lenses don't look as cool as the non-fluted stock type, but work much better.
