Question about Clearview on a Road Glide install

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I found the last time I had the windshield and fairing off, I assembled the windshield to the outer fairing on the bench. I didn't tighten the screws up so the wellnuts would expand. Just snug enough to hold the windshield to the fairing and not have to fight with the screws trying to get them to catch in the well nuts or have the wellnuts push through and drop into the inside.
It worked for me.

Of course, this is absolutely no help to anyone unless they are removing the fairing.
Clearly, a person shouldn't drink and post!
