hello veryone, i just bought my first hd (2009 electra glide classic).
my question is why is the left tail pipe more black then the right? is this normal? thanks for your help.

 

Your probably lugging the rear cylinder and running the front one Ok.

 

Hmmm, good question. Mine did the same thing with the stock pipes and with my current set-up. Probably just and effect of the 2 into 1 into 2 exhaust. I know my right muffler flows more than the left.... the left side probably has more reversion than the right.

Perfectly normal.

You're also going to find that the right muffler winds up with more baked-on road tar than the left, because it runs hotter. Or maybe I should say that it will be easier to clean the left muffler . . .
