Which Replacement Shocks 4 07 RG?
I have an 07 RoadGlide with the original shock setup and I want something a little more compliant. I am 180 lbs. and do most of my riding solo so any comments on progressive or ohlins would be helpful. Also wondering how much trouble it is to switch out the shocks yourself?

I agrree with Dawg. Here's a couple of threads with interesting reading to check out:

I have a set of the Ohlins on their way.
Howard at http://www.motorcyclemetal.com/index.html really know suspension and will build a set of shocks custom made for you.

I installed some Ohlins from Howard about three weeks ago and they were a big improvement over the Progressive 440's that have been on the bike for two years. Before that were the stock 12" air shocks, which were so bad I don't have an adjective to describe them. Maybe "atrocious" or "tail breaking" would suffice if I felt like being nice.
I bought the 13¼" #2's, which raised the riding height considerably for me, although it should be near the same as a stock 13" shock. It is not too high and I'm already adjusted to it. Much better ride, cloud-like on small bumps, and very controlled on medium and heavy bumps with no bottoming yet. The Progressives had no rebound control, so the launching on upstrokes is gone now that control has been restored. If you talk to Howard, mention HDForums and you will likely be offered a nice discount. For the price he's asking I can't imagine a better shock deal on the market.
