Can stock 96 cylinders be bored out to 107, and if so would a set of SE110 heads work well with this mod. Just trying to save some money just don't want to throw good money away on aftermarket cylinder kits if i can get the same results for less.

Any good performance shop will have a handle on these issues. Heat/cold, available fuel quality etc... These items would be covered in the builder/customer interview with any reputable shop.

That seems to be a lot for the cylinder. Would like to hear what the performance pro would suggest. Good luck with the modification.

What does this statement mean? FWIW 107/98 done every day of the week with stock cylinders. And if you don't like that, then S&S sells a BB kit that is 106. ALL these take the stock cases without case boring. RyanL has a bored 98. I have a 106 S&S. BOTH work out great! ( a 98 and a 107 are the SAME bore, the difference is if it was an 88 with 4" crank or a 96 with a 4 3/8 crank... older 88s and newer 96s both have SAME bore). For a cast piston overbore... 95/103 is the ticket (and cast is plenty good for a lot of folks), but if a forged piston is desired, there is NO reason to NOT do a 98/107.

HQ
Hyperformance
GMR
ETC.........

LOTSA top shops do this.

Im running a GMR 107 - love it!
Puts out nearly identical #'s as a HQ kit with lower compression and no starter issues without cr releases

Sure, you can have OEM cylinders bored to 107; it's done by reputable builders all the time. As for the heads, you ought to talk to reputable engine builders about those heads and the pistons/cams that would work well with them.

Good luck with your project.
