It just says pre-lubed. Says nothing about needing or in this case NOT needing lubed again. I want to hear Magnum's take on this. I was going to call them a few weeks ago and ask this question and forgot.

Default Cable lube

You won't hurt any cable with the right lube. Some aresol lubes use other fluids to make the primary lube get down into the cable then evaporate these can damage plastic/ teflon liners. WD-40 has acetone in it very bad for rubber some plastics and hardens wiring outer shielding so it will start to crack if you bend the wiring after continued use. WD-40 is good for taking any sort of gummed stickers off because of the acetone, will over time damage wire covering and rubber for sure. Many use it not knowing the damage they are causing with long term use. Take some acetone on a rage and wipe something rubber off then look at you rag. There are some lubes you inject from a tube that will be fine HD has one and there are plenty of others.

I actually spoke with Magnum and they said the only lube they recommend for their cables is a clear Silicone based lube, aka, Superlube. That's what I used at my 5000 mile service. No problems.

I'm glad I read this post... I did a search here for clutch cable lubrication, and have Mangum lines that I just had installed about three months ago... The clutch lever, while pulling fine and returning fine, has a little creak that has been bothering me... I'm concerned about putting any lube in the now... I'll need to do a little research now.

When I replaced all my cables with Magums.. there was a sticker on then advising Not to lube them, glad I actually read that or I would have used dri lube also.

Don't know about interaction with Magnum Shielding cables, but I've been lubricating cables using the Motion Pro thingie and their can of cable lube, and it's a lot easier faster and more effective than trying to dribble lube down a cable via gravity.

I believe that currently the stock cables are Teflon-lined as well - no lube needed!
