A buddy of mine with an '09 SERG wants it, he's gonna try & repair it, paint it the SERG orange and see how it looks. They all got reamed just before I got there!

Shredsurf, glad to help, but if your dealer can order a chopped tour pak with a lid pre-drilled for the backrest used on a King tour pak that will be newsworthy. Be sure to post when it comes in and takes pics 'cause that will be very unusual, indeed.

Somebody is lieing, but it doesn't matter now. You are being taken care of.
I will be interested to see if a Chopped Tour pak can be ordered with a King Tour Pak backrest................
I don't want one, but it's more than my dealers people could do.

I had a dealer damage my bike while in storage. They denied doing it. I ended up going to HD corprate. Glad to see your dealer made things right. For what we pay for these bikes and all the add ons there should be no questions asked when they screw up

Just got the call...

Either I get the King tour pak (backrest pre-drilled) or the chopped that must be drilled in house.

I'll take my chances, I like the look of the chopped.

Is it possible they could f' it up a 2nd time????

Just a heads up for ya. But it will not come without holes for the stock chopped backrest either.

But I think the bigger backrest will cover all the holes you are not going to use. So you will need to decide how to plug the holes.

The holes aren't even symmetrical. WTF? If ever there was proof that we should do our own work, this is it. And if I were you, I'd print out this thread and take it with you.

The dealer didn't screw up the hole drilling for the king tour pack backrest, it looked great on the chopped tour pak.

I wasn't concerned with the other holes behind the backrest, it's the additional luggage rack holes that blew it!
