Pretty neat design but I would worry about the lifter constantly running over that moving part on the camshaft lobe. i'm sure it would work but longevity is the question.

They have had these on the X wedge for a few years. Simple enough and effective.

I wouldnt do this to the starter motor btw, I dont think it is rated for this much cranking continuously I thought it would have burnt out. By the end of the test Im sure those windings were hot...
