Sundowner touring vs Ultra classic pillowtop
Hey guys, got a great deal on a stock touring seat from a ultra classic. The wife luvs it but I don't. I find it less comforatable than my stock rd king seat. My question is, if I switched to the sundowner touring I know I would be more comforatable but would the wife? The passenger seat looks smaller and thiner on the sundowner than on the ultra classic touring. Advise please... P.s. Anyone use one of those harley tallboy touring seats and if so do you like it? Can your passenger see over you better? How is the comfort?

RE: Sundowner touring vs Ultra classic pillowtop
I have the tallboy seat and the one that moves you back a little and higher (I'm 6'2") and stock just made me sit too close to the front and on the boards. It is a very comfortable seat, passenger has nice seating and it gets them higher than you. It does make me reach a little for the handlebars so on a long trip, you feel it in your back some..but overall a good seat.

RE: Sundowner touring vs Ultra classic pillowtop
I'm going through the same thing with my fiancee. I have a Sundowner on my Street Glide and am very happy with it. I rented an Electra Glide Classic earlier this month and rode a couple of hundred miles a day for four days. The seat wasn't bad but not as comfortable as the Sundowner. My fiancee, on the other hand, found it a lot more comfortable (of course, the wrap-around backrest with armpads may have had something to do with it). Before buying an Ultra seat, I'm looking into a pillion Airhawk pillow for her.
