Went from a 07 FatBoy to a 2012 Street Glide. Cruising down the road with a CD playing and the wind blowing up OVER your body, just makes the ride more enjoyable. I didn't like the look of saddlebags on the FB, but now the hard bags on the SG just work, looks wise as well as function. I got a helluva trade-in deal, which made the decision easier. Only downfall is now I'm dumping $$$ into the SG, which I thought I wouldn't do after knowing how much I put into the FB. BTW, I'm 6'5" and with some mods, I made the SG fit me.

I came from a 2008 Night Train, which I had invested several thousand in, mainly for looks, to my current 2008 Electra Glide Standard, which I have already invested about a grand in, mainly for comfort. I couldn't be happier with my switch. The Train was nice to look at and really fun to throw around, but you can't beat the ride and comfort of a touring bike. I say go for it, but it's ultimately up to you.

Going FLH
I had a 07 FLSTF, put over $5,000 in to it mainly cams, pipes, and 103 build
Rode it for over 10,000 miles and traded it in on my 2011 RKC.
I really enjoy my RKC, the ride is better, the cruise control is a huge plus for me, and it has the look and feel of what I wanted to ride. And now with the new TW 222 cams, I think all I need is some wo 515 bars.
I would not go back to a softail.

I just traded my 2001 FatBoy for a 2013 SG. Had 35k on the Fat Boy. Bought it new in 2000.
As far I am concerned their is no comparison beween the two.
SG positives: Way more powerfull engine, 6 speed trans, Batwing with Radio, cruise control, better brakes, better handling in corners, highway. Nice bags with option to get tourpack, lower fairings.
Wife loves rifding on it.
FB positives: Smaller and lighter...Thats it!
