There is no cure. The "disease" is kept in check relative to the amount of money in your wallet. If you are like me and do your own wrenching and buy NOTHING at retail prices then the disease is chronic...

I just upgraded my 06 RK for durability,SE oil pump kit, hydraulic cam
chain with a 203 cam.
I'd like to get another bike,a used Super Glide and build a 106" to beat on.
Save the King for trips and two up riding.

Wait until you get it tuned by Ed. You will feel like you have enough then.

When are you coming to Dallas to get it Dyno'd?

Watching the weather real close. I'm hoping for maybe next Tues. or Wed. I'll PM you as soon as I know so we can meet and shoot the breeze!

Regarding the original post, I LOVE my bike the way it runs now. To me this is the way it should have come from the factory at least. But then again, I'm just a n00b on this horsepower stuff. Still crapping yellow in my diapers whereas most have already done the deed and gone bigger. I'm a slow learner.

Ummm... can you say... 117?

HAHA!

I had my crank redone this time around... so if I want to go bigger in a few years, out goes the 106, in comes the 117.

Bigger gets expensive, because the crank WILL need to be addressed on your next bump up in power.

I did custom crank by R&R; ported heads by Big Boyz; Andrews 54s; S&S 106 BB kit (like your SE BB kit); timken bearing by Hyperformance; SE compensator; TTS; VPC clutch head with SE clutch spring; I have a LOT of $$$ in this small build, and maybe THAT can keep your jets cooled. $6k and I did the assembly. Truthfully? I really should have spent $1000 more and had my cases bored and bought an Axtel cyl set for a 117.

Get a S&S 124 power kit; or maybe do a HQ 117. either way, you will have to address whatever crank you end up with.

You are correct on one thing fo sho... a 103 with 255s and more compression IS the way the should come stock. I TOLD you this is WAY more addicting that chrome and polish, didn't I??!!??)

if you like power going into the motor is like taking the first hit of crack -- too late -- your motor desires will only be limited by your wallet--

All my riding Buds have buillt motors my 107 is the smallest of the group.

The largest 126 S&S GS in a Road King (10k for the motor) the belt could not withstand the pressure - chain drive, he beats sports bikes on that thing -- it is nasty --

My next will be HQS 120 or S&S 124 -- collecting my pennies now.

I would like to find a 06 or older Ultra to do the next build on
