Thats what I get too. Almost feels like lugging but I cant see how.

 

Talked with a brother of mine yesterday that works for harley to see if he had seen this before ,and got some info from him. i beilive i found my problem. i will repost when i know for sure. he told me it is almost always one of three things:

1. 5th gear bearing- to check this with the bike off and rear tire off the ground put in 5th gear and spin tire. you will know. the noise will be obvious if this is the problem

2. frame alignment-it has been discovered that during assembly of the new two piece frame, there was some hurry evadently at the factory and numerous cross threaded bolts have been found. in this one the frame is not all the way connected resulting in misalignment.

3. aftermarket exhaust making contact with the bike.


i looked closely at mine yesterday and did see that there is a spot that the clearance is tight and there are hints of wear and rust is starting to form on the heat shield and brake peddle arm. i am going to run a piece of fuel hose over the brake arm and see if the vibration goes away or changes in severity.

 

Will the fifth Gear bearing cause the issue in any gear? Mine does it in any gear I am in as long as you have light throtle between 2500-3200.

 

the way i understood him no. that was why i didnt bother checking that on mine. mine does it as well in all gears... except neutral. the 3500 range is max torque(max motor movement as well) i think i have determined mine to be heat shield contacting the brake peddle.

 

Has anyone found any soultion to this? Still fighting this with mine.

 

I have a 2009 Crossbones that an engine vibration started at 25,000 miles. All is good until I get to 3,000 RPM and goes away at 3,500 RPM. in all gears. Been to the dealer 2 times and they say it's normal. If that is so then why was there no vibration for the first 25,000 miles? There is no power loss, just a mean vibration in the 500 RPM range mentioned above.

 

I just installed Cobra True Dual Head pipes and now I get allot more vibration at idle...WTF?
