Default New HD Slip Ons 80847-10

Anyone out there tried the new HD SCREAMIN' EAGLE FATSHOTZ 2-INTO-2 SLIP-ON p/n 80847-10 yet? want to put on 09 ultra with k/n HB kit (kn-3930) and stage one down load. kinda want to keep this bike a little quiet and still let it breath better. Do ya think these will work or should i look at something else?

Default Fatshotz review - 09 triglide

just put these on a 09 triglide that has a SE AC and 255 cam. They are loud comparied to the stock pipes. How loud, about the same as the sampson fish tails that I had on and took off. The fish tails looked cool though. You can look all of the way through these things. They are also louder than the nightstick 2 into one that I have on my 2010 road glide. Loud and tinny (sp ?) would be how I would decribe them. No way in hell these things are street legal. All I can figure out is that if you put these on a 2010 with a cat it must tone them way down. I am going to post asking for help to try and quit them down. Go figure a Harley pipe to loud. The ends are open where as the nighstick are closed. I am going to try and order a couple closed end caps Tuesday and put them on and hopefully it will create a deeper sound like the nightstick. Hope this helps

I have installed these on a 2010 ultra, they are very quite on it but I think it is because of the cats in head pipe, I have taken the tamper proof screws out and these mufflers are like 1 1/2 inch long baffle with packing on the outside of baffle core, I took header wrap and wrapped around the outside of the baffle then reinstalled baffle and made them sound a lot louder.

I ended up drilling out the tamper proof allen screws and took out all but two disks per pipe. Made a big difference. Deep rumble and perfect. It is amazing how taking out 8 disks per pipe can make that much difference. These pipe are fully adustable based on how much sound you want. You can add disks to increase volume. Go to super trap and you can order more disks. Super trapp recomended 2 disks per pipe with open end and 10 per pipe with closed end.

I think the Fatshotz will sound better on a kat or non-kat bike if you install the closed end cap & a couple more discs. The Supertrapp Fatshots(with a s) come with 12 discs & a close end cap.You can hear The Fatshots on youtube.Deep sound.Regards,Tom ps the supertrapps sound with open end caps never sounded very good to me.I run 26 discs w/closed end on my 103 GMR build.
