Thanks guys. The seat is the stock Street Glide seat, modified by Mean City Cycles. The bars are Paul Yaffee OEM Monkey Bars, 10".
Not sure if the turning radius fix is only for police bikes - but I will say it significantly improved the turning radius.
Any feedback on the Headwinds spots? They seem to be the cleanest option... want to put them on my SERG, but would like to hear how functional they are from someone who's got them on their bike before I drop $500!
man, that is a really sweet ride........this may be a dumb question but the TSB you referenced for turn radius, is that Police only, or is it all 09s?
The bad news first; the Service Bulletin is for the Police bikes only. Which means Harley pays for it of course.
The good news; it will fit any '09, though YOU have to foot the bill.
Latest bad news, the kits have been on backorder.
There are two kits, one for the 'Glides (batwings) and one for the Kings. Very minor difference, like a strip of rubber trim that goes on the edge of the fairing after you cut away the proper amount. Had mine done. There is a difference, some bikes more than others for whatever reason. A cop friend tells me of the bikes they had done, some were good and others weren't that much of an improvement. Either way, better than OE if you ask me. If it helps your estimations on labor, Harley pays the dealers about 3 hours for the job. Like, 2.8 for the Kings and 3.3 for the Glides. Best of luck.
I really like the looks of the headwinds lights. They seem to function as well as the stock - although they are not as large as the stock version.
The chrome is really nice. I had an HID headlight - so they really don't add much extra lighting.
Thanks for the reply. I think I'll go with them. I was going to add HID also, but after talking to someone who's worked on a lot of bikes, he said the fit is very tight on the SERG, and can make it difficult to get the fairing on/off, so I think I'll hold off on them for now.
