Default Need help from hogtunes owners

I've got the hogtunes front speaker and amp kit. Lately while riding the front speakers (the ones powered by the amp) quit. I can immediately turn the radio off and back on and everything is working fine, for a while and then it happens again. I havn't taken the fairing off to check for wires (raining) but I'm thinking it might be the power cord to the amp. Has this ever happened to any of you?

It maybe the power cord, or the amp overheating(thermal overload)....Once it "cools down", it switches back on.

Check the ground at the battery. The connectors supplied by Hogtunes tend to break the ground wire right where it goes into the connector. You may be picking up an intermittent ground elsewhere even though it's broken, explaining why it works sometimes.

I had a problem with the ground wire on my setup! The ground on mine actually broke, so there was no ground which quit the sound... the dealership thought it was the head unit at first, and then once they opened the fairing up they realized that the ground connection had failed! Once that was fixed all was good!!!

To help in narrowing it down, bypass the amp & connect the speakers right to the Head unit...if your problem goes away then problem is with your amp, maybe overheating...good luck with the troubleshooting...B.

I had a very similar problem. My speakers didn't quit but they would get real 'fuzzy'. If I turned the radio off and back on, it would clear up. I spoke with HogTunes and they sent me a new amp. I suggest you give them a call.
