Always put my gear on first before hopping on, starting up and off I go in no time. Never on the Jiffy Stand. Just don't trust them thingy. 850 lbs versus a holding stick while running...Yah, Right ?.

Look...Your bike's down,

On the stand if the engine is cold to warm up a little and sitting on it if it is warm.

I will say this on a 75 degree day it takes my bike (looking at the oil temp gauge) about 15 miles doing 70 - 75 MPH for the oil to hit 220 degrees.

On the stand and let it warm up while I gear up in the morning, just the opposite the rest of the day, gear up, then start up. Don't ask me why, I'm a creature of habit.

A lot of Japanese bikes won't start with the kickstand down. That's probably the reasoning.

What's wrong with it? That side stand is damn strong.

I do both, just depends on where I am. In the garage on Stand if on the road and we stop then get on bike and start it up. Always in N.
